The lithium battery in this device can keep the lantern powered between 7 – 14 hrs (depending on the lighting mode selected).

A low cost Solar Home Lighting System for day to day use with super bright solar powered LED lights. This solar home lighting system comes with three 1W LED light bulbs which simply need to be plugged into the device to get them working. This home lighting system comes with a built-in USB port that allows you to keep your needed devices charged. The working time grealty varied depending on the number of bulbs utilised at any given time. As a rule of thumb, once the device has been charged to full capacity it can be used interchangeably for up to two weeks. This device’s solar panel must be directly exposed to sunlight to have a full and long lasting charge.

Handy tips to help you deal with load shedding

• Know the load shedding schedule for your area, this ensures you are never caught by surprise.
• Avoid damage from power surges by switching off appliances, geysers, pool pumps, air conditioners, lights and other electrical equipment to reduce the risk of damage caused when the power comes back on.
• Make sure your computer, laptop or phone is fully charged so you can still use them while the power is out.
• Keep some of your bottles in the freezer so they are ice cold when load shedding starts.
• Invest in some fun games for you and your family so that when the power does go out you can still have a good time.
