HOW WE ARE COPING WITH COVID-19

Unfortunately, the year 2021 has come with an unexpected second wave of the COVID-19 virus. As a company whose priority is to help stop and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus amongst our dearly valued customers and employees, The Radian Group has put measures in place to ensure safety for our customers as they shop with us and safety for our employees as they work to serve our customers.

With reference to the guidelines set and provided by the health authorities, below are some of the measures we have put in place to ensure the health safety of both our valued customers and employees.

What We Are Doing to Protect Our Customers

  1. We thoroughly disinfect and sanitize our stores on a daily to ensure that our stores remain COVID-19 free safe zones for our walk-in customers to shop without having to worry about their health.
  2. We have created more space and placed floor markers in our stores to facilitate for our customers to explore our inventory and checkout while observing and maintaining a distance between themselves and our staff to abide by the social distancing guidelines.
  3. We are encouraging more of our customers to shop with us using our online shopping platform accessible on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. This is to ensure that our customers remain in their safest zones as they shop with us from their homes or office and in turn avoid unnecessary exposure. In addition, our online shopping platform has proven to be the best way to have a contactless shopping experience that comes with an added benefit of convenience.
  4. We have a whole page on our online shopping website dedicated to the listing and sale of COVID-19 Preventative Essentials maintained and updated on a frequent basis. Furthermore, we have also prioritized the link to this category in the menu by putting it first thereby ensuring that it is the first product category that our customers see whenever they try to explore the inventory of our online store.
  5. We ensure that our Delivery Team Members sanitize, get their temperatures checked and mask-up before making their way to our customers for delivery in order to ensure the safety of our customers.
  6. Our blog is constantly updated with the intent of providing our customers insight into what goes on in our stores. The major reason for this is to ensure that our customers receive the latest updates and news concerning our Online Store and Physical Outlets thus getting rid of the need for them to physically go to the store and risk being exposed to COVID-19.
  7. In addition to our already existing communications channels, we have added more digital communications channels to make it easy for our customers to get in touch with us. We are responding to customer service queries via Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Direct Phone Calls Emails and more. This is to ensure that our customers easily get in touch with us and thus eliminate the need for them to physically pay us a visit and risk exposure on their way to us.

What We Are Doing to Protect Our Employees

  1. As Radian, we have implemented a flexible work schedule that allows our staff members to have more social distancing and less contact amongst themselves. Interchangeably on a weekly basis, half of the team works from home while the other half works from the office. Furthermore, we have made adjustments to our working hours by reducing the amount of time our staff members are required to spend while working from the office. This is to ensure that our staff members have more time to spend with families and attend to their personal responsibilities during these challenging times of a Global pandemic.
  2. All our members of staff inclusive of the Delivery Team are provided with the much-needed protective gear including but not limited to face shields, face masks, sanitary sprayers and alcohol-based hand sanitizers. This is to ensure that that they can conduct their day-to-day business activities without putting themselves and the people they interact with in any sort of risk.
  3. We repeatedly clean and disinfect our offices and warehouses on a weekly basis as a preventative measure to keep and maintain a safe working environment.
  4. In a case where any of our team members exhibit the mildest symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, we encourage them to go home, isolate, get tested and only report for work two weeks later after testing negative for the COVID-19 virus.

 

Covid Safety Tip: When receiving a package from our Delivery Team, ensure that the Delivery Team keep their masks on and sanitize their hands before handling you the paper work. Additionally, ensure that they spray the package(s) with the sanitary sprayers they are equipped with before finally handing them over to you.
